Band Director's Corner

It has been another outstanding year for our Middle School Band program, and I am incredibly proud of all that our students accomplished throughout the year.

From concert performances to Jazz Band, Indoor Drumline, and Indoor Color Guard, our students demonstrated commitment, teamwork, and a willingness to challenge themselves. This year also marked the return of Jazz Band, giving students the opportunity to explore new styles of music and perform in different settings. We look forward to continuing to grow that program in the years ahead.

Our indoor ensembles also enjoyed a successful season, and I would like to recognize both the students and staff members whose dedication made those experiences possible.

A special congratulations goes to our 8th Grade students as they complete their middle school band experience. Their leadership, personalities, and contributions helped shape our program, and they will certainly be missed. I wish them continued success in high school, whether they continue in music or pursue new opportunities.

As summer begins, I encourage all students to spend some time with their instruments and continue making music. Whether practicing familiar songs or learning something new, keeping music a part of your summer will help you return even stronger next year.

Thank you to our students, families, staff, and supporters for another great year. Have a safe, relaxing summer, and I look forward to seeing everyone again in the fall.

As we wrap up another wonderful school year, I want to congratulate all of our 4th and 5th Grade Band students on their hard work, growth, and accomplishments.

This year, 83 students from Hilltop, Linwood, Boothwyn, and Marcus Hook Elementary Schools participated in band. From learning their first notes and rhythms to performing at the Spring Concert, students demonstrated dedication, perseverance, and a commitment to learning.

I am incredibly proud of all they have achieved and grateful for the support of our families, teachers, administrators, and school community. Your encouragement helps make these successes possible.

To our 5th Grade Band students, best wishes as you continue your musical journey in Middle School Band. To our current 4th Grade students, I look forward to another great year together.
