MEET THE BOARD
CMS Band Booster Association | 2026–2027 Executive Board
Meet your 2026–2027 CMS Band Booster Association Board
Our Board is made up of parent volunteers who work alongside the Band Director to support our students, families, and Band program throughout the year.
Scott Blanford, EdD, MOL
Hi! My name is Scott Blanford. I have three children in the CMS Band program, Beau, Lily, and Ava, so band is a big part of our family. I’m a longtime saxophonist and have always had a strong connection to music and music education. Professionally, I work in Leadership and Talent Development, and I currently serve as President of the CMS Band Booster Association.
During my time with the Boosters, I’ve focused on strengthening communication, improving organization, building on our fundraising efforts, and creating more ways for families to stay connected and involved. I’m looking forward to continuing to build on that progress, support the Band Director and our students, and help establish a strong, sustainable Booster organization for the years ahead.
Melissa Brown
Music has always been special to me. As a former music student and a parent of two children who have participated in the Chichester music program, I have seen firsthand the positive impact music can have on our children.
As 1st Vice President, I want to continue giving back to a program that has meant so much to my family. My goal is to support our Band Director, work together with our families and volunteers, and help ensure that every student feels encouraged, supported, and has a positive and enjoyable experience.
I’m honored to continue serving our students, families, and music program as 1st Vice President.
Krystin Brown
My name is Krystin Brown, and I am the 2nd Vice President of the CMS Band Booster Association. As a current band parent of two children, a former band and colorguard member, and a former colorguard instructor, I am excited to serve in this role.
My professional background in education and strong interest in music led me to work with the Chichester High School Marching Band from 2009 to 2015 as the colorguard instructor. This experience gave me valuable insight into the needs of students and families in Chichester.
When my children entered school, I continued serving our school community as a volunteer and later as President of Boothwyn Home and School, a role I held from fall 2023 through spring 2026.
I look forward to continuing to serve our school community in a role I feel passionate about and, most importantly, supporting the students and families of the CMS Band program.
Aimee Guzowski
As a proud middle school band parent, I am deeply committed to supporting young musicians, directors, and the CMS Band Booster Association. My professional background as an educator has equipped me with strong organizational and communication skills, allowing me to maintain records, provide clear meeting minutes, and support the coordination of band related events.
Beyond the classroom, my lifelong dedication to serving my community drives me to volunteer my time and energy where it matters most. I am excited to serve as Board Secretary and help foster a thriving, well organized environment where every student musician has the support they need to succeed and grow.
DeElla Staples
Hi, my name is DeElla Staples. I’m excited to serve as Treasurer of the CMS Band Boosters and support my son Grayson and our school’s band program. I am a wife and mother of three, and I enjoy being actively involved in my children’s education and activities.
Professionally, I have more than 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, with experience in project and product management, strategic planning, organization, and collaboration. I hope to bring those skills, along with my willingness to help, to the Boosters.
I look forward to collaborating with other parents, teachers, and community members to support our student musicians, strengthen the band program, and create positive memories for our kids.
